INCIDENT SUMMARY:
On December 31, 2010 at about 10:31 AM, the Keizer Police Patrol Division received a report of a break in at the Keizer Little League concession stand and maintenance facility. It’s suspected this break in occurred within the previous 24 hours. The break in was discovered by a facility manager and he reported that there were no suspects on scene at the time of this call.

Upon officer arrival, it was discovered that the unknown suspect(s) pried open a wooden window cover to gain access to the concession stand area. Once inside, the suspect(s) caused damage to an empty cash register, tipped over and damaged several display stands, broke numerous fluorescent tube lights, scattered various concession supplies, and spray painted areas inside the building. In addition to the damage there was a small amount of concession food stolen from inside.

A second building at the Little League field was also broken into during this time. This second building is a maintenance facility used to store equipment for preparing and maintaining the baseball and softball fields. Inside this building a fire extinguisher was discharged and gang type graffiti was spray painted to the walls and to a gold cart. The golf cart was also removed from the building in what is suspected to be an attempt to steal or joy ride it throughout the fields. Due to a dead battery it was only moved a short distance from the building. There were no other known items stolen from this maintenance building.

It’s suspected the damage amount will exceed $1000.00. Anyone with information about this incident is asked to call Officer Tyler Wampler at (503) 390-3713 x 3507.
