INCIDENT SUMMARY:
On April 2, 2010 at about 5:27 p.m., the Community Response Unit (CRU) responded to 5535 Ridge Drive NE concerning a complaint of a drug house. CRU received reports that adult subjects were smoking marijuana at the location in the presence of children. CRU members contacted and arrested Brandon Burrell for possession of more than an ounce of marijuana (3.6 ounces) and cited two adult individuals for possession of less than an ounce of marijuana. Investigators discovered evidence that these subjects were regularly using marijuana in the residence.
Additionally, investigators found a dead owl and a dead peregrine falcon in the home, the possession of which is a crime. An Oregon State Police Fish and Wildlife Trooper responded and seized the birds and will follow up with any applicable criminal charges. Burrell was transported to the Marion County Jail where he was lodged.
